  1. Last August, the City installed 13 Flock Safety cameras. On February 7, the City Council voted unanimously to “enter into a contract with Flock Safety totaling $116,250 over three years.” The cameras read license plate information and compare it to databases containing information about the vehicle’s involvement in a crime. “Of the hotlist hits since the cameras were installed last August, five have resulted in arrests for stolen vehicles, with another resulting in the apprehension of someone with a warrant out for arrest on felony domestic assault charges.” (The Valley Breeze)
  2. The Red Ink Community Library was scheduled to host a reading of the Communist Manifesto on Monday. Instead, it had to deal with a violent group that “outnumbered community members 10 to one.” Nazis carrying a swastika flag were part of the disruptive group. (Patch)
  3. Governor Dan McKee was in town Tuesday. Along with the mayor, he visited Park Square Florist and The Honey Shop. Explaining that his “administration will always support small businesses,” the Governor wanted to “hear what small businesses need from their state and local leaders.” (@GovDanMcKee)
  4. If you’ve been keeping score, you know that the Burrillville hockey team had a good night. They had “a 4-3 Division I crossover victory over Barrington Wednesday night to clinch the Division I-A title and the home-ice advantage until the state finals.” Burrillville is now at 16 points versus Mount St. Charles’ 11. (Woonsocket Call)
  5. On Tuesday morning, Performance PT shared some ways to stay active. Suggestions from the Woonsocket clinic include playing corn hole, hiking, and walking. (@PerformancePTRI)
