  1. Gas Leak Update: As of Wednesday at around 8 p.m., “National Grid said a gas leak on Cumberland Hill Road is now secure, and electric service has been restored to five impacted customers.” Affected businesses that had to evacuate included Antojito's Taqueria and Tasca Buick/GMC and Chevrolet. The closure seriously impacted these companies’ earnings. (WJAR)
  2. The Tiverton High School girls basketball team squeaked past the Woonsocket team by the slimmest of margins. At the Monday game, they beat Woonsocket 33-31. Insiders say they bested the team’s defense. (The Newport Daily News)
  3. There will be a vaccination event at Harris Public Library on Thursday. Time slots are still available between 5:51 p.m. and 7:27 p.m. Sign up now! (Vaccinate RI)
  4. Two Cranston homes were hit by gunfire Friday night. Located near Corey Street and Whipple Avenue, a car was also hit. There were no injuries. (WJAR)
  5. The Museum of Work & Culture offers its annual Children’s Baking Workshop with Gingersnaps Bakery in a virtual format on Saturday. Parents can pick up kits curbside “at the Museum the day before the event.” Inside these kits, kids “will receive a chef's hat, apron, recipe card, pre-printed activity materials, as well as heart-shaped sugar cookies, frosting and sprinkles from Gingersnaps Bakery, so they can follow along with Chef Kayla.” (Shop MOWC)
