3. A prison guard and two inmates are among five people facing federal charges in connection with a scheme to smuggle Suboxone into the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls. (Patch)
4. Rhode Island high schoolers will be required to learn civics under new legislation signed by Gov. Dan McKee. Starting with the class of 2023, students will be required to have an understanding of the principles of democracy, how government works, and the rights and duties of engaged citizens. (Patch)
5. The Pawtucket Planning Commission has approved — with conditions — a key initial phase of the mega-development known as Tidewater Landing. Tuesday night, Fortuitous Partners gained preliminary plan approval for an 11,000-seat multi-use stadium, a public plaza and walkway along the Seekonk River, and an interim parking strategy. The developers hope to break ground this fall.
