  1. There was a house fire on Grove Street just after lunch on Monday. “A mother and two children were able to escape the home without injury,” but several family pets are dead. The fire is now under investigation. (WPRI)
  2. If you are a high school senior, you have until Monday to apply “for college scholarships of up to $20,000 a year through Carter Roger Williams Initiative at the Rhode Island Foundation.” “Rhode Island high school seniors who display an appreciation for values like freedom of conscience and learning from others that Roger Williams practiced are eligible for up to $80,000 over four years based on financial need and academic good standing.” Since 2019, the program has awarded a total of $1.68 million to 29 eligible students.   3. We have already discussed that Governor Dan McKee will seek reelection. His official campaign launch is today, Tuesday, at 9:15 a.m. Later in the afternoon, at 3:15 p.m., he will be at the Park Square Florist with Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt to tour the small business. (@TedNesi)
  4. Senior goalie Jason Mandeville gave the Mount St. Charles hockey team a win. Smithfield's senior captain Chris DiSano sought to best the goalie, who not only “made the point-blank save” but offered a rebound. “We are a really young team, so to finish the season the way we have is really good,” the coach said. CVS announced that its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will participate in a “fireside chat with investors at the Barclays Global Healthcare Conference on March 15, 2022.” The news went out Monday.
