Landmark Lauds Volunteers during National Volunteer Week
Hospital hosted appreciation breakfast on Tuesday, April 23.
Landmark Medical Center held a volunteer appreciation breakfast on Tuesday, April 23 to thank the hundreds of volunteers at Landmark and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island, as part of National Volunteer Week.
This year’s theme was “You brighten the days of others being the great volunteer you are. Please know that in the eyes of many - you are a star!”

In 2012, 233 volunteers, including students, adults and Eucharistic ministers, logged in over 27,000 hours at Landmark.
Several volunteers have reached service milestones. Madeleine Lange and Paul Tardif have reached 100 hours. Lou Dusablon, Donna Finlay and Carolyn Vanasse: 500. Tom Allaire and Therese Bousquet: 1,000 hours. Anita Laramee and Connie Roy: 1,500 hours. Alex Brunelle at 2,000 hours; Pearl Bouchard at 2,500; May Levinson at 3,500 and Leda Slater at 5,000 hours.

Landmark’s volunteer program was established in 1990 and Landmark currently has 140 active volunteers. Volunteers range in age from 14 to over 90 years.
