  1. Good Shepherd Catholic Regional School will put on “Peter Pan” on April 8. Why is this a big deal? “They were just weeks shy of performing the same production in 2020 when the COVID-19 lockdown began.” Because of the time between the last attempted performance and this one, “they have lots of extra props compared to their last attempt at performing ‘Peter Pan’.” (The Valley Breeze)
  2. A Providence woman found herself in federal custody on Monday “after allegedly emerging onto her front porch to retrieve a UPS package shipped from California with more than two kilograms of fentanyl inside.” In her closet, she had “more than a kilo of fentanyl.” Last week, UPS alerted Homeland Security to packages going to this address. When a Warwick Police Department K9 confirmed the presence of narcotics, the sting was one. She is now “in federal custody until a preliminary hearing, scheduled to be held on Friday.” (Fall River Reporter)
  3. Rep. James N. McLaughlin introduced legislation in the State House on Monday to “impose a moratorium on the payment of the fuel tax until Dec. 31, 2022.” Stephen M. Casey of Woonsocket co-sponsored the bill. At this time, the state’s gas tax is 34 cents. (On Worldwide)
  4. Plenty of would-be replacements for Congressman Jim Langevin have made their candidacies known. We learned this weekend that one of them was arrested on Wednesday in Ohio and “charged with menacing by stalking, possession of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia.” He pleaded not guilty. “In the weeks since (he) announced his interest in the 2nd District seat, he has sent a steady series of news releases to reporters and also been active on social media. He has not posted any messages to Twitter since Tuesday, the day before his arrest.” (Newsbreak)
