This arrest information was supplied by the Woonsocket Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Felony Car Theft:
arrested Martin Adams, 27, of Blackstone, MA, and Danny Griffiths, 31, of Woonsocket, on June 20 on felony charges of larceny and conspiracy following an investigation into stolen audio equipment from a car.
Patrol Officer James Cote wrote that he went to 30 Ascencion St. on June 12 at about 1 a.m. to investigate a report of breaking and entering.
When officers arrived, Cote reported, they saw Griffiths and another suspect, later identified as Adams, running away from the scene. A witness, identified as Brittany Benford, told officers that the two men had been loading her car with audio equipment, and that she and a friend had gone to the Ascencion Street address to "pick up some movies," Cote reported.
Benford "could not explain why the car was being used to transport apparently stolen items," wrote Cote. Officers found a car at 192 High St., about 500 feet away, that had been damaged, and its audio equipment removed. Cote reported that the audio components—two amplifiers, a set of speakers, and a subwoofer with a combined value of $550—were the same ones found in Benford's car.

North Smithfield Police notified the local department that officers there suspected Benford's car in unsolved larceny complaints from WalMart, Cote wrote. Officers arrested Griffiths and Adams that afternoon, and presented them for arraignment in Sixth District Court on June 21. Griffiths and Adams were ordered held at the Adult Correctional Institutions after failing to post bail. Adams was also arraigned on separate breaking and entering and conspiracy charges.
Domestic Assault:
Woonsocket Police reported the arrest of Kayla Hawkins, of Woonsocket, on June 22 at about 1:24 a.m. after the male victim went to the police department and reported that Hawkins had injured him during a fight. Patrol Officer Patrick Greeno wrote that he spoke with the male victim, who alleged that he had gone to Hawkins's apartment and confronted her about contacting an ex-boyfriend. During the argument, the victim said that he tried to take Hawkins's cell phone away from her, injuring his hand when he lost his grip on the phone and struck a mirror.
When he tried to leave, the victim told Greeno, Hawkins tried to stop him and scratched him on the face several times. The victim also said that Hawkins threatened to send the ex-boyfriend after him, according to Greeno's report.
While at police headquarters, the victim got a call from the ex-boyfriend and answered it, against Greeno's advice. Greeno reported that he "could hear a male on the other side of the phone yelling in a threatening manner."
