- The state is getting back into the swing of celebrating Columbus Day. After last year put a damper on festivals, this year they are coming back. Woonsocket had the Autumnfest, Providence and Newport celebrated Columbus Day Festivals, and Scituate hosted the 55th Scituate Art Festival. (WPRI)
