Good morning, Woonsocket! Here's everything you need to know to get this Thursday, September 30 started. Here are the most important things going on today in town.

The Woonsocket Honor Guard made us proud. Also, the mandate for licensed health care workers to get shots by October 1 stands. Finally, CVS Health invests in Louisiana.

Have you been waiting on getting your COVID-19 vaccine because you wanted to see if a judge would uphold the mandate for RI health care workers to get the shots by October 1? You’d best make an appointment. A judge dismissed the suit brought by firefighters. (New Canaan Advertiser)
3. Woonsocket-based CVS Health will “invest $25 million with R4 Capital to build 224 affordable housing units for families and seniors in Louisiana.” This move is part of the company's goals to “address racial inequity and social determinants of health in underserved communities.” CVS Health is also considering steps to “expand its national workforce initiatives program” to benefit New Orleans residents.
