Here are the top stories today in Woonsocket:

  1. The City Council fined Rick’s Bar & Grill. At issue were reports of “several fights breaking out in the parking lot.” Located at 297 Cass Avenue, the venue’s owner spent three hours at a City Council hearing. He addressed video of “individuals wielding knives and throwing punches.” The owner walked away with a $500 fine and the mandate to install security cameras covering the whole property.   2. The RESH Inc. sheet metal manufacturing facility has broken ground. Construction is ongoing at Park East Drive. The scheduled opening day is June 2022. Another goal is the creation of 41 new jobs. (Valley Breeze)
  3. If you want to take your road test, you’ll have to head to the Providence DMV at 325 Melrose Street. This news was released Tuesday. Moreover, you need to make a reservation since walk-ins are not allowed. (DMV)
  4. The PACE organization is expanding its services. The service provider and insurer, which has a center in Woonsocket, serves the chronically ill who are “at least 55 and meet a nursing home level of care.” Changes include the ability to “include food as medicine as part of the PACE model.” (WJAR)
