Dear Patch,
I just wanted to inform you that this Saturday, Sept. 30th will be the second annual “ Ride For Joe.” This is a fundraising event hosted by the Patriot Riders of American Rhode Island Chapter 1. This event will take place at St. Joseph’s Veterans Hall located at 99 Louise St., in Woonsocket. This event start with a motorcycle run which will leave at 11 a.m. and return around 2, with an hour long stop at The Last Resort in Smithfield. Upon returning food will be served, this will be hamburgers and hotdogs. Then onto the raffles and 50/50. Music will be provided by Straight Pipes a local favorite rock band. This event will end around 6.
Who are the Patriot Riders though? We are a 501c3 organization who aims to help local veterans anyway we can. The organization was founded in 2004 in Rowley , MA and this chapter opened in February 2016 with 6 members. We have quickly grown to over 45 members and more a joining us to help support our mission. You don’t need to have a motorcycle or be a veteran to join , you just have to want to help veterans. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will answer the best I can.
