- A huge shoutout to Family Discount Furniture! Autumnfest announced on Monday that this company is the first sponsor for 2022! “Sponsorships are available online or simply send us a message, and we can mail a package out to you.” (Autumnfest)
- Woonsocket PD arrested a man March 28 who was “allegedly caught on video robbing Bueno Grocery at gunpoint.” He reportedly came in with a rifle, "demanded a gallon of milk and a package of cigars," and told the clerk he wasn’t going to pay. Because the suspect had been at the store before, they recognized him, and a passerby gave more information. Armed with a still photo, cops went looking and located the suspect. (Woonsocket Call)
- The Woonsocket High School theater department is working on its first production in two years. Planning to open in two weeks, the play is “The Addams Family.” The teacher recalls having a difficult time recruiting students and had to “beg, borrow and steal to get these kids to take the class.” (The Call)
- There will be a Senior Resource Fair at the Elks Lodge on April 23. Located at 380 Social Street, the event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The goal of the event is to connect seniors with organizations and businesses that serve the needs of this demographic. (@WoonsocketRadio)
- We learned on Monday that the Theodore Group is hiring. Another local business hiring is Earle M Jorgensen, which needs an inside sales representative. (Patch)
