- There was a house fire in Smithfield, which “caused extensive damage.” Happening in the afternoon at 411 Harris Road, there was “ammunition going off in the garage,” which kept firefighters at a distance. Five adults and two children were displaced, and a couple of pets may have died. (WPRI)
- A shoutout to Maddie Skeldon! We learned Sunday that the Beacon Charter HS for the Arts junior released her first EP titled “Where the Story Ends.” You can download it on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon. The songwriter, who also works at a grocery store when not busy doing homework or making art, says her “life is mostly school, music, and work.” (Woonsocket Call)
- A dog has gone missing! The Mini Schnauzer/Pekingese Mix went missing Friday near Lincoln Street and Front Street. Please reach out if you see it! (@MissingDogsMass)
- If you were stuck on the I-95 North on Sunday, you had plenty of company. A hit-and-run crash near Exit 10 led to a “traffic jam spanning at least a half-mile.” Adding insult to injury, “in the traffic, there were two more minor crashes.” The good news is that there were no injuries. (ABC)
- When you arrive at 7 Main Street in Blackstone, you are welcomed by Crave Mead, which is bringing back an alcoholic drink that “predates both beer and wine by thousands of years.” Experts have also found ways to make “different flavors like Crème Brûlée, Blackcurrant, and Pomegranate Sour Cherry by adding fresh fruit, juices, and herbs.” Skål!
