  1. Saint Michael Ukrainian Orthodox and other Catholic Churches met Sunday morning to hold a joint service of prayer for Ukraine. The service took place at noon in Woonsocket. (ABC)
  2. Charline has set up a GoFundMe for the family who lost everything during the Grove Street blaze. She notes that the family left its “home in PJs.” As of Sunday, there were 118 donations, raising $5,635 of a $10,000 goal. (GoFundMe)
  3. The City Council passed a resolution Monday to express opposition to House Bill 2022–H6638. “The proposed state legislation prohibits single-family residential zoning in municipalities with populations of over 20,000 and mandates that those municipalities adopt zoning regulations for middle housing in single-family residential zones.” Opponents consider it micromanaging of city affairs and a move toward unworkable density.   4. Friday was a dangerous day on the roads. Rhode Island State Police said that weather conditions with snow and sleet resulted in 15 accidents and 19 spin-outs from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. Of special note was NB I-95. (WJAR)
  5. Shots-fired reports sent the police to a Burrillville man’s home on Thursday. He was arrested and police seized “211 firearms and pounds of ammunition.” It is interesting to note that the man had previously run for the office of state representative. The suspect “was allegedly found to be wearing a bulletproof vest and to be carrying four firearms and methamphetamine.” (Fall River Reporter)
