  1. There’s a possible strike on the horizon. The Teamsters Local 251 announced Friday that Stericycle workers at 369 Park East Dr. in Woonsocket have passed a strike authorization. They would be joined by workers at Shred-it at 680 Narragansett Dr. in Pawtucket. “The workers say they seek better health and retirement benefits and wage protections.” “Stericycle is Rhode Island’s only licensed medical waste treatment facility.” (Biz Journals)

We learned Saturday that there are “resident doctors participating in Landmark’s new teaching program with New York Medical College.” “The Landmark-New York Medical College program is approved for seven interns or residents in each of its three years of post-graduate internal medicine instruction and training.” At the end of the three-year period, participants decide whether to specialize, remain in the hospital setting, or go into private practice.
