Elks Sugar Shack April 13 The Sugar Shack celebration will be held at the Woonsocket Elks Lodge at 830 Social Street from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, April 13. The AFGS Cabane à Sucre (sugar shack) will take on the time-honored traditions that are typically French Canadian. The event will include music by Fleurs de Lis, a local group that performs traditional French Canadian music. Doors open at 5 p.m. with buffet dinner at 6:00 p.m. The menu includes fresh cut salad, pea soup, French Canadian meat pie, New England style baked beans, maple glazed ham, Shepherd’s pie, bread, butter, coffee, tea and dessert. Le Moulin's Craft & Vendor Fair - Every Saturday Le Moulin hosts a craft and vendor fair with booths selling many hand-made items as well as some non hand made items. The location is inside the Le Moulin building at 68 S Main st Woonsocket RI ( This is the brick building between city side and the museum of work and culture).
Come check out the many items as you walk down our indoor street filled with friendly people and a great atmosphere. This is certainly a hidden gem that everyone should come check out.

Red Maples For Recyclables - On Saturday April 20, the first 200 Woonsocket residents that bring recyclables to the Woonsocket Recycle Facility located at 943 River St bewteen 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will receive a FREE Red Maple Tree seedling. Recyclables include: TVs, all electronic waste, all appliances, propane tanks, rigid plastic, books, large cardboard, all metals, gas grills, etc.
Scouts' 'Clean Sweep' - Scouts from Troop 2, Woonsocket, are making a clean sweep. They'll come to your home and sweep sidewalks and/or do a light outside spring clean up for you. Donations are appreciated. Proceeds will be used for scouts to go on monthly camping trips.
