Woonsocket Baby Boy Admitted To Hasbro: DCYF

WOONSOCKET, RI– A baby boy from Woonsocket is in intensive care at Hasbro Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. According to Kerri White, spokeswoman for the state Department of Children, Youth and Families, the nine-month-old child was admitted on Sunday. An investigation has confirmed the child was a victim of "maltreatment."

White said this incident is the family's first contact with DCYF.

"Due to confidentiality laws, we are prohibited from sharing additional information," White said.
