Woonsocket Bank Robber Arrested

Police arrested Christopher Dargon, 36, one day after he allegedly robbed a Santander Bank.

WOONSOCKET, RI—A 36-year-old Pawtucket man is the person who robbed a city bank while wearing a baseball cap on Wednesday, police said.

Now, Christopher Dargon is due to be arraigned in Sixth Division District Court in Providence on Friday after being charged with first-degree robbery.

Woonsocket police credited the Massachusetts State Police and the Providence field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for aiding city police in the investigation.

Police also thanked the community for their help after they released an image that showed a man robbing the bank with his face in plain view.

Dargon allegedly passed a note to the teller and demanded money before fleeing on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.
