Woonsocket Man Confesses To Stealing Restaurant's Register: Reports

WOONSOCKET, RI — A 46-year-old Woonsocket man who confessed to stealing the cash register from the David's Kitchen restaurant Wednesday has been sentenced to 45 days in jail plus probation, according to multiple reports.

The man, who has not been named but appeared in images taken from a restaurant security camera, asked the bartender for a menu and then ran off with the cash register, WPRI reported.

The register was found empty on North Main Street and Jacob Lane, though it is not publicly known how much money was taken, according to WJAR.
