Woonsocket Man Identified As Victim of Cumberland Wreck

A truck rolled over on Friday and caused traffic jam on I-295 South.

Michael F. Morin, Jr., from Woonsocket, was identified by police as the victim of a crash on I-295 South, according to multiple reports.

According to WPRI, police say Morin, 56, was driving a tow truck and tried to pass a dump truck towing construction equipment. He clipped the back side of the trailer and rolled over.

Morin was wearing his seatbelt but suffered fatal injuries.

The driver of the dump truck was Robert Choiniere, 36, of Lincoln, and he was uninjured.

The wreck blocked all three lanes of traffic, and police forced cars to pass through the shoulder. All three lanes are now open and traffic is flowing freely.
