Woonsocket Pet Shelter Closed Due To Mold: Animals Had To Be Relocated
The Woonsocket Animal Shelter on Cumberland Road has been closed, and the City has moved the pets to alternate locations, police said.

WOONSOCKET, RI — The animal shelter on Cumberland Road has been closed because a test for mold spores found "very high" levels inside the building. The police said they followed the experts' recommendation to vacate the building until the spores can be reduced or removed. The City has moved the pets to alternate locations, police said. People should continue to contact the Animal Control officers for assistance. Police do not expect any interruption in service.
