Today is the first day for high school football practice in South Carolina
CHARLESTON - South Carolina marks the return of high school football for the 2011 season today as teams across the state are allowed to begin practices.
Players donned helmets and hit the field early Friday. The first practice for the West Ashley High School Wildcats started at 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The team already has a preseason scrimmage scheduled for 10 a.m. next Friday at West Ashley High School against the Cain Bay High School team, according to Head Coach Robert Marion.
