CHARLESTON - Anyone heading to James Island during the evening this week needs to plan on using the James Island Connector or head through John's Island to get there.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation is closing the Wappoo Bridge from 9 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug. 12 to perform maintenance on the structure.
