'Kiss the Cow' Fundraiser to Benefit Lexington County Firefighter's Wife

News Release

Lexington County Public Safety Director David Kerr and Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts are sponsoring a “Kiss the Cow” fund raiser competition to raise money to help a Lexington County firefighter’s wife who is in need of assistance.

The fundraiser is being conducted in partnership with Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS) for Client-in-Waiting Becky Sullivan. Becky is the wife of Jim Sullivan, who is one of Lexington County Public Safety’s longest serving volunteer and career firefighters. Jim also served a stint as a crew member in Lexington County Emergency Medical Services. All together Jim has more than 30 years of combined service to citizens in Lexington County. Becky herself served for a short time as a volunteer firefighter, until multiple sclerosis caused her to no longer be able to serve. She is now wheelchair-bound.

You can vote for whichever department head you wish to see “Kiss the Cow” by going to: http://paals.org/kiss-the-cow-fundraiser-for-becky-sullivan to cast your vote.
