Lane Changes, Closures Expected on West Dunbar Road

Lane changes and closures on West Dunbar Road in Lexington County are expected to begin early this week and continue until the weekend as a part of a Runway Safety Area Improvement Project at Columbia Metropolitan Airport.

Commuters traveling West Dunbar Road should expect various changes in traffic patterns throughout the week including the occasional reduction to one lane of traffic in each direction. Signage will be in place throughout the construction area to direct drivers.

Columbia Metropolitan Airport owns the property on both sides of the road, and the Runway Safety Area Improvement Project is part of the airport’s ongoing improvement initiatives.
