1. Watch out for traffic checkpoints

The Lexington Police Department is conducting traffic checkpoints Friday in the Town of Lexington in an effort to reduce the number of collisions and drunk drivers. They'll be checking driver's licenses, vehicle registrations and insurance.

2. Looking for a new home in Lexington? 

One of these houses could be your new home! Open houses are scheduled for Sunday at these five houses.

3. Donate school clothes to Midlands kids

Help a Midlands child start the school year off right by buying new school clothes for him or her. You can "adopt" a child at the Salvation Army booth in Columbiana Centre through Sunday.
