- Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Why not head over to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center today where the Grand Strand Bridal Expo will be in full swing from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is $18 at the door. Get ready for some stateof the art production elements, as well as a fresh new push into an exciting time for the Grand Strand wedding industry. - Have you ever seen an orange lobster? Well, now you can! Cheddar the lobster is now on display at Ripley's Aquarium. According to WMBF, "Cheddar is a one-in-30-million crustacean. [It was] rescued from a shipment to Red Lobster in Florida." Check out its new home this weekend! (WMBF)
- Work on Surfside Beach pier, which was destroyed in 2016 by hurricane Mathew, is expected to be completed in mid-April. However, the date the pier will be ready for public use is still undetermined. (WBTW)
- Kevin Polich, a former North Myrtle Beach, firefighter has reportedly been charged with the criminal solicitation of a minor as well as first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was reportedly booked into the Greenville County Detention Center Thursday. (WMBF)
- North Myrtle Beach Police congratulate Master Patrol Officer Michael Johnson on his transition from patrol officer to the new regulatory officer position. Officer Johnson will now be working in the Community Services Division within the police department serving as the new animal control officer along with implementing new programs and working closely within the division on educating our community.
