- With a focus on heart health, Tidelands Health is set to open a new hospital in the Socastee community. The hospital has reportedly already received state approval and a groundbreaking is set to take place soon, with an expected opening date sometime in 2027. The goal of the hospital is to have a laser focus on anything and everything to do with the heart. Officials from Tidelands are already recruiting the best of the best heart health specialists to staff the new facility. (WBTW)
- With a price tag of more than $20 million, the Surfside Beach Pier rebuild is entering its final stage of completion, with an end date of April 16. The pier, which sustained widespread damage, thanks to hurricane Matthew back in 2016, has had its main pier sections completed and the temporary trestle is being removed soon.
