Here are the top stories in Myrtle Beach today:

  1. In an effort to help combat the problem of not having enough physicians in the Palmetto state, South Carolina physicians rallied this week, to support a bill that would allow qualified physician assistants to work at clinics, in areas that don’t have a supervising physician. If the bill is passed it would ultimately allow physician assistants to practice in rural and underserved communities, where there is a great need, which would improve healthcare access throughout the state. (WBTW)
  2. Do you love beer? Then you are invited to the Crooked Hammock Brewery's (located at 4924 Highway 17 South,North Myrtle Beach) Tortuga Island Jam, reopening bash. The famous 360° bar Tortuga Island with Trop Rock music performed by James Hood will be happening on Saturday, March 11th from 4-10 p.m. Hope to see you there! (Myhorrynews)
  3. Using the internet to shop for a house can feel like a wasted effort. To get a real feel for a house, you really have to visit in person. That’s where open houses come in handy: No more guesswork involved! To help those looking for a new house in the Myrtle Beach area, we’ve listed five recently listed properties, with information included on the next scheduled open house. Below is an address, photo, price, home size and open-house time for each property on our list — such as a listing with 5 beds and 5 baths for $739,900, and another with 3 beds and 3 baths for $339,500. 4. In celebration of March being Women's History Month, a very special, new, women-centric exhibit is currently on display at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach. The show features inspirational South Carolina women. Check it out if you get the chance! (wpde.com)

Esme is 3 years old, weighs around 55lbs, and she is wide open! Esme is full of energy and has such a quirky personality. When we have her out in the yard while we are cleaning she loves to run around and “pick up” items for us. She is the definition of a silly goose. To meet Esme, please call 843-249-4948 to schedule an appointment, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/" (The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach via Facebook)
