Here are the top five stories today in Myrtle Beach:
- Residents of Heatherstone II Condominiums in Myrtle Beach are having anxiety. The cause is the condo association's upcoming construction projects which are forcing residents to find an alternative place to live for four to six weeks. The project includes new walkways, support beams and stairs. The exact timeline for the project has not been solidified yet, which is leaving residents in flux about finding someplace else to live during the construction period. (wpde.com)

- Surfside Beach pier is approximately 90 percent complete. Construction crews are in the process of demobilizing the temporary pier. According to WBTW, "Interim Town Administrator Rob Clemons said an opening date for the pier is still unknown and work continues on the fire suppression system."(WBTW)
- Fingerprints on a bottle left behind by an alleged Myrtle Beach armed robbery suspect helped police. According to WBTW, Andre Josiah Long, 20, of Conway, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession of firearms and ammunition, and unlawful carrying of a pistol. The robbery at a store on 3rd Avenue South was captured on surveillance video, according to the warrants." Long had grabbed a drink and waited in line before allegedly committing the robbery. He left behind the bottle with his fingerprints on it. (WBTW)
- Summer is approaching quickly and residents and visitors will be happy to know that the Myrtle Beach dune walkover is now officially open for public use. The walkover was completed by the Myrtle Beach Public Works team and it looks fantastic! (wpde.com)
