Here are the top three stories today in Myrtle Beach:
- In preparation of Arbor Day the City of Myrtle Beach and SageSure Insurance are teaming up to distribute 400 tress on Friday, April, 7. The event will run from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Myrtle's Market located at 605 Mr. Joe White Avenue. According to wpde.com, "Myrtle Beach was selected as a recipient of the Arbor Day Community Tree Donation grant and is working with the Arbor Day Foundation." Stop by to get your tree! (wpde.com)
- Myrtle Beach is receiving nearly $7.5 million in State Revolving Fund loans for utility projects. Some of the projects include; upgrading the pressure-reducing valves on water lines, installing diesel-powered pumps at 16 sewer lift stations and improving the stormwater system in the Broadway Wetland Stream.
