Here are the top three stories in Myrtle Beach today:
- Thanks to the quick thinking of a good Samaritan, an injured, wild, Great Horned Owl got the help it needed. The owl reportedly suffered from an injured wing when it was found in the road. The good Samaritan scooped it up and brought it to the Barefoot Resort firehouse Saturday night. "According to wpde.com, "crews contacted Carolina Wildlife Rehab who sent a team member to check out the owl." The owl is currently at a rehab facility where it will stay until it is well enough to be released back out into the wild! (wpde.com)
- Parking rates are on the rise in several sites along the Grand Strand and the paid parking season is coming soon. Residents should know that in North Myrtle Beach a resolution has been approved increasing costs inside the city to rise to $3 an hour during paid parking hours, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For all vehicle registration or golf cart decal-related questions, call 843-663-8650 or email parking@nmb.us.(wpde.com)
