Here are the top three stories today in Myrtle Beach:

  1. The World War II memorial is slated to be built at Warbird Park to honor veterans who fought in the war. Covering 2,000 square feet, the elaborate memorial is set to include an impressive plaza with the world’s seven continents engraved in the concrete with markers displaying the exact location of where battles took place. Groundbreaking on the memorial is scheduled for sometime this May, with a dedication scheduled for November. (WMBF)
  2. Spring Break camp will be held all week long at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet. EdZOOcation is for kids in kindergarten-3rd grade. This four-day camp allows students to engage in unique experiences that connect kids with wildlife. Campers will enjoy guided tours of the gardens, zoo and meet animals face to face, while enjoying a variety of hands-on nature based outdoor play. Campers will also enjoy creating enrichment activities for the zoo animals. For more information click here. (wbtw.com)
