  1. Scott Alan Olson, a 57-year-old Myrtle Beach man allegedly pulled a knife and threatened to stab a former acquaintance of his for killing his cat. 2. Honoring those who served in World War II, construction on a new memorial in Myrtle Beach could begin this summer. Slated to be positioned near Warbird Park in The Market Common area, construction may begin as early as June. According to WMBF, "a sculpture is also planned to be a centerpiece of the memorial, but will likely be installed after construction is completed. The memorial is also planned to be able to hold 100-150 chairs that can be used for ceremonies. The project will move toward construction once a bid is placed and a contract is finalized."(WMBF)
