Here are the top three stories in Myrtle Beach today:

  1. Finally reopened after eight months of being closed following a fire, Neal and Pam’s, a staple in Surfside Beach, is happy to be back at it. According to WMBF, "Neal and Pam’s owner Zach Baker says he’s been overwhelmed with the love and support from locals and vacationers, showing him this bar is far more than just another place to grab a drink." (WMBF)
  2. Blame Mother Nature. It was a snake that damaged the Lake Ridge substation leaving 3,400 Horry Electric Cooperative customers without service on Friday. Everything is back up and running now and the situation has been taken care of. (WBTW)
  3. Following the pickleball mania that has taken over the country, North Myrtle Beach is planning on spending more than a half million dollars to build between eight and 12 new outdoor pickleball courts. In addition, the city also wants to play host to three to five tournaments a year. Now seems like a great time to take up the sport if you haven't already! (wpde.com)
