Here are the top stories in Myrtle Beach today:
- There are sharks in the water, literally! Two juvenile white sharks were tracked off the Carolinas Sunday morning. One is named Jekyll and weighs in at approximately 400 pounds and the other is named Simon who weighs in at approximately 440 pounds. Jekyll is swimming around near Myrtle Beach and Simon is located offshore near Charleston. Beware and stay safe! (wpde.com)
- Have you noticed some relief at the pump? Gas prices are down in Myrtle Beach and throughout the U.S. However, don't get too happy according to Gasbuddy, "While the decline in both gasoline and diesel prices is terrific, it’s not unusual to see prices falling in February, which tends to be the month with some of the lowest gasoline prices of the year thanks to seasonally weak demand." Right now gas in Myrtle Beach and nationwide is down 5.2 cents from last year. So fill up while it's cheap! (WMBF)
- You are invited to The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach's Lunch at Mellow Mushroom, located at 1101 Highway 17N, North Myrtle Beach on Friday, February 10th.
