Here are the top four stories today in Myrtle Beach:

  1. A ten-foot great white shark died Wednesday night on the shores of 10th Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach. It washed up on the shore. Bystanders tried to get it back in the water but it kept washing up on shore and eventually died. It has been removed from the area. (wpde.com)
  2. Can you help find 62-year-old William Ray Griffith? He was last seen on April 1 near Old Bryan Drive. He is considered endangered due to an ongoing medical condition. According to wpde.com, "he is approximately 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds.
Anyone with information about Griffith’s whereabouts is asked to call HCPD via dispatch at 843-248-1520." (wpde.com)
  3. Looking for something fun to do this weekend? The 6th and 88th Street Band will be performing on the Pepsi Stage in Dockside Village Saturday, April 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. Hope to see you there! (wbtw.com)
  4. Reportedly Myrtle Beach is not experiencing the same "stagnet" real estate market the majority of the country is seeing right now because of its low taxes, affordable homes and offered amenities. According to wpde.com, "as local buyers compete with out-of-state investors, the market [here] is heating up fast with many homes starting to see multiple offers again." This is great news for the area! (wpde.com)
