  1. Horrible timing! A three-alarm fire broke out at the Ocean Creek Resort on Friday night. According to wpde.com, "At 9:31 p.m., Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the 10000 block of N. Kings Highway, according to officials. Second and third alarms were sent out to bring in additional staffing. No injuries are reported. More information will be shared when it becomes available."   2. Because of the cold and the weather culminating with the holiday, Fresh Brewed Ministries is continuing its routine effort to provide a refuge out of the elements for those in need of shelter during the day.“If you need to stay in the shelter at night, you can come and stay here during the day," said Kate Curran with FBM. It was open Christmas Day following the Midtown Inn's annual Christmas meal and gift exchange. " (wpde.com)
  3. According to wpde.com, "Carolina Country Music Fest announced two more artists to its lineup. Bailey Zimmerman will join more than 40 artists at the festival performing on the Coors Light Main Stage. CCMF will also welcome Ian Munsick this summer to sing hits like "Long Live Cowgirls."Headliners include Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert and Brooks & Dunn.   4. A shooting in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve leaves one person dead. According to wbtw.com, "one person was killed after a shooting in Florence early Friday, according to police. The Florence Police Department said officers responded to the 800 block of Gladstone Street at around 7:45 a.m. after reports of the shooting. The victim was found dead at the scene. Florence County Coroner, Keith von Lutcken identified the victim as 55-year-old Kenneth Andre Davis of Florence. Von Lutcken said residents in the area heard gunshots and shortly after they discovered Davis in a yard unresponsive. The Florence Police Department and the Florence County Coroner’s Office are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 843-665-3191." (wmbfnews.com)
