• Teen killed in shooting at Dorchester Road Sonic identified (postandcourier.com) — An 18-year-old employee from Ladson was shot and killed Friday morning while working at the Sonic on Dorchester Road in Summerville, and local police are still searching for a suspect. Summerville officers and the Dorchester County coroner are investigating, with an autopsy scheduled this week. Dorchester Road reopened several hours after the shooting, but no arrests have been announced.
   

• Basketball Recap: Summerville Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake (maxpreps.com) — Summerville High’s boys basketball team bounced back from a recent loss with a 61-54 home win over Stall, reinforcing their higher state ranking. The Green Wave now sit at 8-5 and next travel to face James Island on Tuesday night, while Stall heads to Ashley Ridge, where the Swamp Foxes will chase their 15th straight victory.
