  1. The Chattanooga City Council is considering a proposal which would increase the police department's budget for social workers. The added new-hires would expand the department's crisis co-response team. Currently, the team only has one social worker. The budget increase would be $924,000. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
  2. The Chattanooga Police Department reports a pedestrian was struck by a truck on Friday night. The incident occurred on Carter Street shortly before midnight. The vehicle fled the scene. The pedestrian did not have life-threatening injuries and the department reports they have identified a potential suspect. (WTVC)
  3. The Tennessee Department of Transportation tested Chattanooga's Market Street Bridge yesterday. The testing is a routine quarterly test and maintenance. The bridge was closed to traffic while the test was conducted. Residents can receive traffic alerts through @Chattanooga511 on Twitter. (Chattanooga Pulse)
