Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

1. The semi-annual Bloodnooga blood drive returns to the UT-Chattanooga campus on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The university and Blood Assurance will be hosting the blood drive from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day in the University Center Tennessee Room. All students, faculty, staff, and the general public are invited to attend. The area is currently experiencing a low supply of blood and this event will help replenish the inventory. (Chattanoogan)
2. The Chattanooga City Council is currently considering an ordinance change on short-term vacation rentals. The proposal would tweak the city's rules on density limits. The city's current halt on all new short-term vacation rental applications will end on Jan. 9. (Subscription: Chattanooga Times Free Press)
3. The Hamilton County Health Department has reopened its Travel and Adult Immunizations Clinic at the 3rd Street facility. The purpose of the clinic is to provide immunizations to individuals moving from and to other countries. Appointments at the Clinic are required for service. Call 423-209-8340 to make an appointment.
