Current gas prices still remain 23.4 cents higher than they did at this time last year. The price for diesel fuel, meanwhile, has declined by 5.1 percent nationally in the last week. It currently stands at $4.88 a gallon. (Chattanooga Pulse)

  4. The opening of the new I-24 ramp to Broad Street has been delayed due to supply chain issues and a lack of material resources. Originally scheduled for an opening sometime in August, officials are now tentatively saying that the ramp will be open in October. The $32 million interchange update is still on schedule to be finished by October 2023. Officials were quick to emphasize that the delay in no way impacts the cost of construction.
