Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:
- A federal appellate court has ruled against Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies. The ruling sided with a U.S. Marine Corps veteran that was detained without cause on the side of the road for nearly an hour. The three-judge panel agreed that William Eugene Klaver provided ample evidence that the two deputies intentionally dragged out the traffic stop to search his vehicle for marijuana without legal cause. - Chattanooga's gas prices have dropped by 9.5 cents per gallon since last week. The average price of gasoline in Chattanooga is now $3.16 per gallon with the cheapest station selling gasoline for $2.82 per gallon. The national average is currently $3.78. - Chattanooga's Reindeer on the Riverfront & Lighted Boat Parade is scheduled for Nov. 25. This popular event will feature decorated boats on the Tennessee River to get Chattanooga residents into the holiday spirit.
