Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. Chattanooga State Community College is currently accepting applications for its first group of registered Medical Assistant apprentices. The program will provide paid full-time employment at CHI's Chattanooga-area clinics, evening/online classes, and on-the-job training. At the end of the program, participants will be able to take the National Health Career Association's Certified Clinical Medical Assistant exam. (Chattanoogan)
  2. The Chattanooga Police Department has arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend after she discovered him cheating with two men. Antonio Lamar Collier, 45, has been charged with assault and kidnapping. At the time of arrest, Collier had warrants in East Ridge and U.S. Marshals wanted him for questioning. (ABC News 4)
  3. The 2022 Little Debbie IRONMAN Chattanooga race will be on Sunday. The race is presented by McKee A Family Company as a part of the VinFast U.S. Series. The event kicks off on Thursday with check-in at Ross's Landing. Participants will compete in a 2.4-mile swim, 116-mile bike ride, and 26.2-mile run through Chattanooga. (Chattanooga Pulse)
