  1. The Chattanooga Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday night on Rossville Boulevard. A 49-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the hip during the incident. The department has not determined the cause of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department.   2. Chattanooga's Lookout Comedy Festival is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The festival will feature some of the best comedic acts through Saturday, Oct. 22. Click for the festival's lineup and ticket information. (Chattanooga Pulse)
  3. The Chattanooga City Council confirmed that a controversial quarry application will be withdrawn. The application was for a 53-acre property near Black Creek. Residents were concerned about the blasting that would have occurred at the proposed quarry. (WTVC)
