- The Hamilton County Commission has voted against a proposal that would have paused new short-term rentals. The issue is very controversial in Hamilton County. The Chattanooga City Council passed a pause on non-owner occupied short-term vacation rentals in April. The safety of the properties has been debated in both the city and county. (WTVC)
- A Chattanooga woman has been sentenced to eight years for the drug overdose death of Courtney Partin, 28 years old. Minnie Faye Lynn pleaded guilty to the fentanyl-overdose death that occurred on May 31, 2020. Partin was found at Lynn's apartment. (The Chattanoogan)
- Tennessee's comptroller has given conditional approval for Chattanooga Lookouts' new stadium plan. According to the comptroller, the stadium is in the "best interest of the state." The comptroller outlined two requirements that must be met by the organization and the city before final approval is granted. The stadium will likely cost $79.4 million to build.
