- Chattanooga families have claimed Silverdale Detention Center's medical negligence led to the deaths of detainees. The claims surround the deaths of Carol Rene White and DaQaurrius Brown. Medical records and autopsies confirmed the individuals did not receive daily medications. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- One of Chattanooga's largest employers – BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee – has announced it plans to keep the majority of its staff working remotely. The employer started its work-from-home option at the beginning of the pandemic. A lot of local employers, such as Cigna, Freightwaves, Tennessee Valley Authority, and Unum, continue to allow employees to work remotely. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- Hamilton County EMS' Charles "Scobey" Newman has served with the department for over 40 years. His service was honored on Sunday by the Chattanooga Elks Lodge in remembrance of Patriot Day. Despite his long history of service, he is not considering retirement yet. The lodge hosted and fed 65 first responders during the honor ceremony. (WDEF News 12)
