Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a basement garage fire at a home in the Lookout Valley area on Wednesday. The incident occurred in the 3300 block of Oak Burr Drive around 11:15 p.m. Responding crews were able to control the flames in about ten minutes. Thousands of dollars in damage occurred during the fire. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident. (News Channel 9)
  2. This Sunday, the Chattanooga Market is hosting a Health Fair. The fair will be through the Children's Hospital at Erlanger. There will be fourteen different hospital departments represented at the Health Fair. Participants will receive health-related information, screenings, and resources. It will be at First Horizon Pavilion between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (News Channel 9)
  3. The Chattanooga Area Red Cross has deployed volunteers to Florida to provide aid during Hurricane Ian. The volunteers will be working with other volunteers from around the country to feed, shelter, and comfort residents. The Chattanooga Area Red Cross has been preparing throughout the week for the deployment. (Chattanoogan)
