  1. Chattanooga's annual pitch competition, "Will This Float?", is on Monday, Oct. 17. It will be held at the Warehouse Pavillion on Market St. from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This is one of the Chattanooga entrepreneurial community's biggest events of the year. Participants will examine new companies' business pitches. (The Chattanoogan)
  2. The Chattanooga Police Department has unveiled its newest sport utility vehicles. The new 2022 models are Ford Explorers with upgraded sound and light bars. The city will be purchasing 50 of the new models for its police department fleet. Residents will begin seeing the new vehicles on Chattanooga streets by the end of the month.   3. The City of Chattanooga will be hosting two Public Outreach Meetings on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the meetings is to communicate Chattanooga's Americans with Disabilities Act Self-Evaluation findings. The evaluation was conducted from 2019 through 2021. The meeting will be recorded and made available to the public. (The Chattanoogan)
