Would you like to help Fort Worth become a safer city? The Fort Worth Police Department seeks nonprofit agencies to apply for development grants that reduce crime and increase safety. Funding comes from the Crime Control and Prevention District for agencies that meet at least one of these goals:

  • Reduce violent crime.
  • Reduce gang-related activities.
  • Increase safety in neighborhoods.
  • Decrease crime in neighborhoods.
  • Increase the safety of youth.
  • Reduce juvenile crime.
  • Reduce violent crime.
  • Nonprofit agencies that address one or more of these goals are invited to apply by April 15.

    Participation in a preproposal training is mandatory. Failure to attend will affect the agency’s eligibility to submit a proposal. These virtual meetings are scheduled:

    • March 8, 1-2:30 p.m.
    • March 10, 1-2:30 p.m.
    • March 15, 1-2:30 p.m.
    • March 17, 1-2:30 p.m.
